Precision Alaska Engineering LLC (PAE) is led by Randy Downing, PE, with over 16 years of experience all over Alaska and serving industrial, commercial, government, and private Clients. As a dynamic leader, he is skilled in interdisciplinary collaboration and communication, and prides himself in having a comprehensive understanding of multiple engineering disciplines. 

 

Mr. Downing's experience also extends to construction management. His reliability and organizational skills can provide you with security as he leads your project through the permitting phases, critical path scheduling and analysis, contractor communications, and cost analysis tracking systems. 

 

Mr. Downing has experience in preparing proposal documentation. He is well-versed in proposal scope determination, contract writing, budget development, and fee negotiation. As your project moves to bid, Mr. Downing can provide comprehensive design services, site visits, cost estimation, drafting coordination, value engineering, adequate budget tracking, on-time schedule, relevant code studies, contract specifications, site required reports, permitting documents, comprehensive commissioning documents, technical RFI’s, DCVR’s, and submittals support, record drawings, and Owner Operational and Maintenance Manuals.

 

During his off time, Mr. Downing enjoys his family and the great Alaskan outdoors. His hobbies include ice fishing, camping, industrial sewing, automotive work, DIY home projects, hunting, and cooking for his family and friends.
